Deputy Minister Buti Manamela celebrate Heritage Day in Khayelitsha with Ambassadors of Change

Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Mr Buti Manamela, will address young people in Khayelitsha in celebration of Heritage Day.

South Africa celebrates Heritage Month annually in the month of September. The theme for the 2016 celebration is “Celebrating our Human Treasures by asserting our African Identity”. In this context, Deputy Minister will address young people on the value of promoting the contribution of South Africans in the arts and culture amongst others.

Heritage Month is also an important opportunity for all South Africans to take pride in their living heritage and play an active role in affirming, promoting and preserving it.

Young people will therefore be encouraged to learn about our National Symbols at a Heritage Day function organised by Ambassadors of Change. Ambassadors of change is a community development organisation aimed at developing young people socially, academically and grooming them as leaders.
