MEC Alan Winde launches government office, 3 Mar

Alan Winde launches SA's most accessible government office

In a drive to make our office more accessible to businesses and entrepreneurs, Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, has shifted his office to a previously-unused government-owned space on street level, and has signed up to participate in the First Thursdays initiative (http://first-thursdays.co.za/commercial-highlights).

Minister Winde has set the Ministry of Economic Opportunities the goal of becoming South Africa’s most accessible government office. We believe ours is South Africa’s only government ministry located on street level, directly open to members of the public.

As part of the official launch programme of the Ministry, and as our March contribution to First Thursdays, Western Cape wine, olive and cheese makers have been given the opportunity to showcase their products at the office. Tastings will be available for guests and visitors to the Ministry.

Details:
Date: Thursday, 3 March 2016
Venue: Ministry of Economic Opportunities, 142 Long Street, Cape Town City Centre
Time: 17h00 (Minister Winde will deliver the official opening speech at 17h30
