The Speaker of Free State Legislature, Hon. M. Qabathe in collaboration with the MEC: Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Hon. NS Leeto will be hosting an event to mark the Africa Day Celebration, the 2016 Africa Month under the theme “Building a Better Africa and a Better World”.
The 2016 Africa Month presents an opportunity for Africa to unite in pursuit of the dream to develop a better Africa in a better World through:-
- Celebrating the diversity of African Culture (i.e. clothing, heritage, the performing and visual arts, etc.),
- Promoting social cohesion in terms of promoting peace among all Africans living and working in South Africa, in particular, the Free State Province.
- Create a platform for dialogue and engagement on challenges facing African people, and further sign a Pledge among all participating States which will form part of the resolution for the year ahead
