  • 1 600 – an average of new daily COVID-19 cases recorded in the last seven days, by 28 November 2021.
  • 500 – new daily COVID-19 cases recorded in the previous week.
  • 275 – new daily COVID-19 cases recorded the week before that.
  • Around 2% to 9% – the rise in the proportion of positive COVID-19 tests in less than a week, by 28 November 2021.
  • Over 25 million – vaccines doses administered in South Africa since government launched the public vaccination programme in May 2021, by 28 November 2021.
  • 41% – adult South Africans who have received at least one vaccine dose, by 28 November 2021.
  • 35.6% – adult South Africans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, by 28 November 2021.
