Acting National Commissioner Lieutenant General Khomotso Phahlane officially opens Diepsloot Police Station, 19 Feb

The SAPS Acting National Commissioner, General JK Phahlane cordially invites the media to the official opening of the Diepsloot Police Station in support of the  Front Line Service Delivery (FSD) programme on Friday.

The need for a new police station was identified in 2005 and the construction of the police station commenced in 2008. The completed project was handed over by the Department of Public Works to the South African Police Service in November 2015.

Diepsloot Police Station is within the Honeydew Cluster in Gauteng and serves over an estimate of a million citizens, both South African and foreign nationals.

The opening will take place as follows:

The programme will unfold in the following way:

  • Official Opening of the Diepsloot Police Station -  8h30
  • Media Briefing - 11h30 – 12h30
  • Community Outreach (Visiting of identified hotspots in and around Diepsloot and community engagement) – 14h00
