Bokone Bophirima Acting MEC for Local Government and Human Settlements Wendy Nelson will address a press conference to amongst others inform the media and public about the progress registered in the amalgamation process of both Tlokwe and Ventersdorp local municipalities based on the work done by the technical teams which were established to drive the amalgamation process.
Acting MEC Nelson will also brief the media about the arrangements that are to unfold to prepare for the by-elections as directed by Constitutional Court judgement, that elections be held within ninety (90) days.
MEC Wendy Nelson will also be accompanied by Executive Mayors of the District and Tlokwe Local Municipality as well as Mayor of Ventersdorp Local Municipality; Cllr. Boitumelo Moloi, Cllr. Kgotso Khumalo and Cllr. Celia Phoyane respectively.
