Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, said buyers from 14 international companies had been attracted to the Western Cape for the sale.

“Our horses are sought after across the world, and the Cape Premier Yearling Sale is demonstration of this demand. I am delighted to see that the revenue and the number of international buyers in attendance increased year-on-year, and I would like to commend the team at Cape Thoroughbred Sales for promoting our destination to an international audience.”

The next Cape Thoroughbred Sale is the March Yearling Sale on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March, 2017.
