The heat is on in the kitchens of the 55 catering companies that entered the 2015 Free State Master Caterers Challenge. This innovative and creative food preparation and serving competition has captured the imagination of the local and national hospitality industry since its inception a month ago.
The competitors have demonstrated their culinary and business skills before the panel of judges who specifically looked at the business vision, table setting, pricing and image.
The 12 finalists will participate in the final stage of the competition, which is the cook off, set to take place at the Central University of Technology on the 5th of March 2015 from 08h00 to 16h00.
The overall winner of the inaugural competition, who will walk away with a franchise or their own restaurant, will be announced at the glittering function and the details are as follows:
