Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe launches National Council Against Gender-Based Violence

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe launched the National Council Against Gender-Based Violence at
the closing event for the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and
Children campaign in Rustenburg.
The council will
support victims and survivors of gender-based violence and address all
forms of violence against women and children. It will coordinate the 365
Days National Plan of Action against Gender-based Violence.
