Parliament on rehearsals, parking restrictions and road closures for State of the Nation Address

Parliament is hosting the State of the Nation Address by President Jacob Zuma at 19h00 on Thursday, 12 February 2015. Rehearsals for the Address will take place on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 February 2015 – The rehearsals on Wednesday will take place in ‘real time.’ 

Details for rehearsals are as follows:
10 February 2015 (17h30 to 21h00)
11 February 2015 (17h00 to 19h00)

Members of the media are invited to the rehearsals. Attending these rehearsals will give a clear overview of proceedings and assist media in acquainting themselves with proceedings, positions, safety and protocol guidelines. 

To accommodate the State of the Nation Address, a number of roads will be closed to normal traffic temporarily between 10 and 12 February. Affected streets and the applicable times are being advertised widely on radio and in the Western Cape daily newspapers to advise road users about the road closures.
