President Zuma Arrives in Côte d'Ivoire

President Jacob Zuma has today, 21 February 2011, arrived in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire as part of the African Union (AU) High-Level Panel on the Resolution of the Crisis in Côte d'Ivoire.

The High-Level Panel, which has been meeting in Mauritania, will now further engage all parties to the conflict in Abidjan, with a view of finding a solution to the crisis.

The Panel, comprising five Heads of State is expected to conclude their work before the end of February and report back to the AU Peace and Security Council.

President Zuma will return to South Africa, tomorrow on 22 February 2011.
