President Jacob Zuma has, in terms of section 19(1)(a) read with section 19(2) of the Electoral Commission Act, 1996, appointed the Honourable Mr Justice Jeremiah Buti Zwelibanzi Shongwe as Chairperson of the Electoral Court.
The appointment is for a period of five (5) years, with effect from 1 May 2014.
"We wish Justice Shongwe all of the best in the execution of this important judicial task,” said President Zuma.
