Today, 29 November, Premier Helen Zille will accompany community development workers (CDW's) on a visit to maintenance beneficiaries, living in the Philippi area, who are owed money and have not collected it.
This visit is part of the Western Cape Provincial Government's "16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children" campaign which focuses on holding maintenance defaulters responsible and ensuring that beneficiaries receive the money due to them.
Premier Zille will first join a CDW information session on child maintenance in the Vuyiseka Community Hall and will then visit two beneficiaries in the surrounding area.
All media are invited to attend the information session and the visits.
