Parliament is planning a memorial ceremony on 25 March for 33 Members of
Parliament (MPs) who died while in office between 1994 and 2008.
The memorial, commissioned by Parliament's Presiding Officers, will include
family members of the 33 deceased MPs, Presiding Officers from the nine
Provincial Legislatures, Party Whips, senior parliamentary managers and the
leader of government business, former National Assembly Speaker and current
Deputy President Baleka Mbete and Provincial Speakers and Deputy Speakers.

Place: Marks Building, Parliament
The aim is to celebrate the contribution of the deceased MPs to the
establishment of a democratic South Africa and to create institutional and
family memory about these MPs. The 33 MPs are:
