Minister Masutha invites media to a briefing ahead of the Budget Vote Speech
Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Adv. Michael Masutha (MP) is inviting members of the media to a briefing prior to his the delivery of the budget vote speech on 17 May 2017.
This briefing will give insight to a number of programmes steered towards transforming correctional services into a beating heart of rehabilitation in South Africa. Minister Masutha will also highlight key focus areas, outlining the targets and priorities for the 2016/17 financial year.
Repositioning of the parole system and overcrowding are some of the issues to be addressed by the Minister. He will be accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Correctional Services and Justice, Hon. Thabang Makwetla and the National Commissioner, Zach Modise.
