The Minister of Energy, Ms Tina Joemat-Pettersson, and the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mr Yukiya Amano, will address the 14th International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA) Conference on Monday, 9 May 2016, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. This is the first International Radiation Protection Association Conference to be held on the African Continent.
Following his address of the 14th IRPA, Mr Amano will also visit the iThemba Labs, and deliver a lecture to students at the University of the Western Cape (UWC).
