The Director-General of the Department of Public Service and Administration Mr Mashwahle Diphofa, will lead Public Service Month (PSM) activities at Nkandla in Kwazulu-Natal on Thursday, 23 October 2014.
The DG will be joined by Provincial MECs, Mayors and other senior public servants and will visit frontline service sites, interact with frontline officials and sign the Service Charter pledge.
Public Service Month is an integral part of the Batho Pele Revitalisation strategy which seeks to instill and rebuild good ethics, morale and pride in public servants.
The theme, “Reinventing the way Public Servants work: Batho Pele Putting people first ” signifies the need for recommitment by public servants towards improving the way they work in the quest to deliver quality services to the citizens.
The programme is used as a strategic Batho Pele vehicle that enables public servants to engage on the quality of services required in support of the priorities of government.
