Minister Debbie Schäfer to attend ‘Reading and Writing’ Conference presented by Cape Teaching Leadership Institute
On Tuesday, 7 October 2014, MEC Debbie Schäfer will attend the ‘Reading and Writing’ Conference presented by the Cape Teaching Leadership Institute (CTLI).
The improvement of reading and writing is one of our primary objectives and the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) therefore have a number of teacher development programmes on offer to help improve the development of teaching in these areas.
Over 300 teachers have registered for the two-day conference which aims to improve teaching skills in reading and writing.
On Tuesday, MEC Schafer will be dropping into the one of the sessions at 12pm and will briefly address all 300 teachers in the final session at 12h30.
