The creation of decent jobs, economic growth and the promotion of quality education will be top of the agenda on Thursday when Gauteng Premier, Nomvula Mokonyane meets her Bavarian counterpart, Minister-President Horst Seehofer.
The Gauteng Provincial Government and the Free State of Bavaria; home to global blue chip corporations such as BMW, Siemens and Adidas, among others; have a longstanding cooperation agreement in common areas such as economic growth, safety and security, education, agriculture and environment. The two governments also share the position of being economic giants of their respective regions.
On Thursday, 30 September, Premier Mokonyane and Minister-President Seehofer will sign a formal memorandum of understanding between the Free State of Bavaria and the Gauteng Provincial Government aimed at strengthening ties and improving relations.
