The Western Cape Government in partnership with Absa-Barclays and Manchester
United Football Club of England will launch the construction of multi-purpose
sports grounds worth millions of rands at a sod turning ceremony in Gansbaai on
Saturday, 25 November 2006 at nine o'clock.
MEC Jacobs will be joined by the top management of Absa to mark the symbolic
commencement of the project while the actual construction is expected to start
in January next year. The design of the sport complex will be unveiled to the
media at this function. The ceremony follows several meetings between the
parties to concretise relationships.
