As part of an offensive against crime in the Nelson Mandela Metro and the
province, Eastern Cape MEC for Safety and Liaison, Mr Thobile Mhlahlo, will
host a "Gospel Music Against Crime music show" at Gelvan Track in Port
Elizabeth on Sunday, 11 March 2007 at 14h00.
MEC Mhlahlo has identified the northern areas of Port Elizabeth as one of
the areas that need strategic intervention because of ongoing gang violence and
the increase in contact and property related crimes.
Through this Gospel Music Against Crime festival, it is envisaged that
communities would be mobilised, especially the youth and local schools to be
more active in sustainable crime prevention initiatives.
Some of the expected performing artists include, Bill Paulson,
Christadelphias and many more.
Everybody is invited to this festival.
