T Mbeki wishes Muslims Eid al Fitr

President Thabo Mbeki extended his best wishes to Muslim South Africans on
the occasion of Eid al Fitr.

The festival of Eid al Fitr marks the culmination of the holy month of
Ramadan, during which Muslims have fasted daily. Ramadan is also a time of
inner reflection, charity and spiritual devotion when Muslims strive towards
spiritual growth and self control.

President Mbeki wished all Muslims a Happy Eid al Fitr and called upon South
Africans of all faiths to share in the spirit of Eid.
