Members of the media are invited to attend a media briefing on Sunday, 14
May 2006, following a three-day meeting of the President's IIC. The 10th
meeting of the IIC will be held at Mount Grace Hotel and Spa in Magaliesburg,
Krugersdorp from 12 to 14 May 2006.
This fourth meeting since the third democratic elections will bring together
10 world business leaders, key Ministers, Directors-General and the Presidentâs
Special Advisers to discuss, amongst other things, issues pertaining to the
progress of the Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative for South Africa
(AsgiSA) and the job-creation programme known as the Joint Initiative on
Priority Skills Acquisition (JIPSA), an update on the World Trade Organisation
(WTO), the Doha Development Agenda and the New Partnership for Africaâs
Development (NEPAD) implementation of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).
President Mbeki will lead the Government delegation.
