Sport and Recreation South Africa on Amaglug-glug qualifying
game

For Amaglug-glug, qualifying for the 2008 Olympics won't be
easy but it is possible

13 October 2007

With Amaglug-glug, South Africa's national under-23 football team having so
high a mountain to climb in the quest to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olympics,
the least we can do is support them and wish them the best of luck.
Amaglug-glug's game against Ghana tomorrow will not be an easy one. It will
demand of us to have a superior game plan and if need be, dig deep into our
reserves for strength, character and the will to keep trying. The coach is
optimistic and we have to share in his optimism with the hope that our players
will also realise that no matter how hard it may be, victory is achievable.

The Ministry for Sport and Recreation in South Africa believes this is an
even better chance for us to send a clear message to the rest of Africa, saying
we are serious about conquering the continent on the sporting front. It is
therefore upon Amaglug-glug to send this bold message on behalf of our country
to the rest of the continent. We believe in them and thus hope for the
best.
