Ndiyanibulisa, Molweni

Mandiqale ngokunibulela ngokwenza ithuba lokuba nizokuba nathi kulomsitho. Kuluvuyo nochulumanco kum ukuma phambi kwenu ngalentsasa ndiniphathele iindaba ezimnandi. Kaloku namhlanje sibhiyozela into yokuba urhulumente wenu enizingcayo ngaye uniphathele izibonelelo zoluntu ezizakuphucula ubomi benu apha eDutywa nakwiziphaluka eziningqongileyo.

Amaxa anje singurhulumente asinika ithuba lokuba sizibonele ngawethu amehlo ukuba lomsebenzi siwenzayo uya kweilphi na icala kwaye siphinda sibone ukuba ungakanani na umsebemzi okusafuneka siwenze ukuze siphuhlise abahlali, ingakumbi abasemakhaya.

Namhlanje urhulumente wenu uthi, sinendlebe nje, sizivile izikhalo zenu. Sithi umzi walapha mawuxhamle kwizibonelelo zoluntu. Kaloku, lorhulumente wathatha isigqibo sokuba uzakuwaphuhlisa amaphandle, ukuzwenza ngcono ubomi babemi basezilalini.

Program Director, silisebe lezonxibelelwano, sinovuyo olungathethekiyo xa sizokuvula iPost Office apha eNyhwarha. Lonto ke ithetha ukuba esasibhambathiso sasenzayo siyi African National Congress ngo 1994 sokuba sizakuzisa iinkonzo eluntwini sisibambile. Umanejala-jikelele wase Posini selethethile, andizukuwagxobha kodwa ke ndifuna nje ukuthi zenincede niyiphathe ngobunono lePost Office. Ingabi lixhoba lezihange, nezibhoxi ezifuna ukusingela phantsi imizamo ka Rhulumente yokwenza ubomi ngcono.

Ngoku abahlali balapha bazakukwazi ukuthumela okanye balande iimbalelwano zabo kufutshane nalapho bahlala khona. Bazakukwazi nokuzokutsala imali abayithunyelelwa ngamalungu osapho aphangela ezidolophini ezinkulu.

Leposi siyivulayo apha namhlanje izakunceda ukuba abahlali bakwazi ukuzokulanda impahla zabo abazithenga kwiicatalogues. Nizakukwazi nokubhatala amatyala omasipala abathile.

Iposi yenye yendlela ezibalukiliyo zonkunxibelelanisa abantu, ingakumbi abasemakhaya.

The new branch is part of the Post Office’s drive to bring its services to the people, especially in rural and underserviced areas. Our target as the government is to have a post office outlet for every 10 000 people.

Just this past year, the SA Post Office opened 52 new access centres and upgraded another 29 post offices. This benefitted thousands of South Africans, many of whom now have access to postal services for the first time in their lives. People who are in areas that have no post offices are accessing postal services through the mobile post offices that drive into rural towns and villages each week.

Ngoku, abantu balapha eDutywa baneposi yabo. Leposi izakuphinda ibeyindawo yokuzokubatala idecoder nokuyilanda xa sele siqalisile ukusasaza ngendlela entsha ekuthiwa yiDigital Terrestrial Television. Urhulumente uzakubabonelela abantu abahluphekayo ngokubophulela kwixabiso ledecoder. Esi saphulelo siyi70%. Ukutsho oko, abahlali abangathathi ntweni bazakubhatala i30% yexabiso ledecoder. Oluhlobo lokusasaza lizakuqala kulonyaka uzayo.

Iposi izakuqhubeka ibonelele ngezinye inkonzo zoluntu ukwenzela ukuba ubomi bubengcono.

Ezi computers sizizise apha eBashee Comprehensive High School naleposi siyivulayo apha eNyhwarha zizixhobo zokuba niziphuhlise yaye niphucule nomgangatho wempilo. Yenye yendlela urhulumente abonisa ngayo ukuba uzimisele ukuphuhlisa aphinde enze impilo ibengcono kuluntu luphela.

Kumkani, nenkosi ezikhoyo apha namhlanje apha sizisa ii computers eziyi 20. I have been informed ukuba I Bashee sesinye sezikolo ezi Progressive kule ndawo. Siwe sivuka sizama ukuba sibe nee computers, si offerisha ii Computer Application Technology kodwa asinayo iInternet. Isikhalo sesi sikolo Mnumzana uNtlangano ne staff sakho sisivile. Apha nammhlanje sizisa iicomputers ezi connected to the Internet.

Abanye benu mhlawumbi ababuqondi kakuhle ubunzima bemeko esisikolo ebesizibona sikubo. Lento ibisenzeka apha ifana nokuba ukhwele imoto engenamavili – ayisoze ikuse ndawo loomoto. Nabantwana ke abafunda iComputer Applications Technology kwicomputers ezingaqhakamshelwa kwiinternet bafana nabazidlalela nje upuca. Kungoko ke sithe silisebe masize apha sizokunika abafundi, abangabantwana benu, ithuba elingcono lokuqhubekela phambili ngemfundo khonukuze bakwazi ukuphucula amakhaya abo.

Bahlali, niyayazi ukuba inkomo iyalubethelwa ubisi lwayo!

Zezenu ezicomputers but all we are asking is that you use them responsible. Sishiya eziicomputers apha ngethemba lokuba nizakuzikhathalela. Sizishiya ezi-computers during the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children. We are acutely aware that the cyberspace is one of the avenues that sick people use to demean and abuse women and children. These computers and the internet access should not be used for such activities. They must be used to uplift this community.

Bafundi, yenzani iswebsite yesisikolo, khon’ukuze abantu ababefunda apha bayazi ukuba kugqubeka ntoni ngesikolo sabo baphinde bakwazi nobo ukunxibelelana nasikolo sabo lula. Itechnology okanye ubuchwepheshe benza ubomi bubelula. Nantso ke into eniyenzelwa ngurhulumente wenu onikhathaleleyo. Urhulumente okhokelwa ngumbutho onembali esizingcayo ngayo, iANC. Umbutho owakhulisa inzalelwane yalapha, lowo wayesakuba ngumongameli welize uThabo Mbeki. Kaloku kulenyanga sibulela imisebenzi yakhe.

In his address on the ANC Centenary lecture of Former President Mbeki President Zuma had this to say " President Mbeki thus became one of the leading cadres of the movement who epitomised the ANC’s belief in generating ideas and an on-going dialogue in the spirit of Mao Tse Tung’s call to Let a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thoughts to contend, the theme of this lecture" I am quoting this sentence simply to tell you of how grateful the governing party is to President Mbeki's contribution both in the struggle and government.

In taking forward the legacy of President Mandela and President Mbeki, we want to change the landscape of the country. We are spending eight hundred and forty four billion rand on infrastructure projects countrywide over the next three years.

Connecting Bashee Comprehensive High School is part of the Department of Communication (DoC) and Department of Education’s schools connectivity programme. This is a priority programme declared by President Jacob Zuma’s administration to provide universal access to technology to strengthen and expand the learning and teaching processes, enable the sharing of educational resources and improve school administration.

We have already commenced with the installation of the wide area network (WAN) infrastructure and good progress has so far been made, with 737 schools nationally have already been connected as at 23 November 2012. In total, 200 schools in the Eastern Cape Province will benefit from this broadband provision in this financial year.

By connecting schools, we want to enable a better flow of information between the school’s administrators and the Department of Education, as well as other schools. This will facilitate better administrative support for the school’s primary focus, which is the imparting of knowledge.

We also want to provide a link between teachers here at Bashee, their peers in other schools and the educational resources on the Internet. In this way, the project will help teachers to learn from each other, and learn about advances in the teaching profession internationally. Teachers have one of the most important jobs in the country, ensuring that the next generation is prepared to take advantage of the fruits of our democracy and build a better South Africa for all.

President Mbeki ukhe wathi xa ethetha nge internet koonondaba baseBritane.

“I think the Internet is absolutely extraordinary. It's very, very useful and I think one of the things we've got to do is make sure that the African continent gets on to that information super highway. We've got to access this modern technology. I've been saying, for instance, if you put in this infrastructure, you're able then to deliver tele-medicine to a village. In reality, this technology is most useful for poor countries.”

Last week I was in Austria ndi attende iEuropean Youth Awards. UProfessor Brutt ongusihlalo wale ntlangano uthe xa ndithetha ngoTata uThabo Mbeki ngenye yeengqondi ezakha zakho apha eMzantsi wandingqinela esithi wayesesinye sezithethi zabo mhla babe launcha intlangano yabantu abatsha on ICT. Silothulela umnqwazi igalelo lethol’iduna lakwa Mbeki.

I want to join Zizi in encouraging the pupils of Bashee to consider careers in the ICT sector when they leave school. This is a growing sector, and it’s a very exciting place to be working and we have a shortage of the right skills in this country. The DoC funds entities like the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa, to train young people in the skills needed for digital media. And our E-Skills Institute is working with the Walter Sisulu University, focusing on the ICT development in the rural development sector. Use your new link to the outside world to explore the opportunities available in the ICT sector, and begin to find out what skills you need to build interesting and profitable careers.

Lastly but not least Program Director, ndibulela uMama uMbeki ngokuzakuzimasa lemini. Ngalo mazwi ambalwa mama, ngokuzithoba okukhulu sicela wamnkele esisipho nesiluphawo lokuhlonipha wena njengesiqu nekhaya lakwa Mbeki ngobubanzi.

Ndiyabulela!
