We have learnt with a deep sense of sadness and shock about the untimely departure of the former first lady of Limpopo, Ms Ramokone Moloto.
On behalf of the people of Limpopo, the provincial government and my own behalf, I extend sincere and heart-felt condolences to the former Premier of our province, Mr Sello Moloto, his entire family and friends alike.
As the first lady of the province, she made an immense contribution to the government and the people of Limpopo through the First lady Charity Trust Fund. Through this initiative of government, we saw her leading the children, disabled, women and the elderly in taking charge of their destiny in the improvement of their own lives.
The role she played in the establishment of the provincial chapter of South African Women in Dialogue, and related women empowerment structures did not go unnoticed. She also remained a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to her husband during his turner as the premier of our province
She will be missed for this and other meaningful roles she played in life as the wife, the mother and, above all, a community development activist.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Moloto family during this time of bereavement
May her soul rest in peace!
