Ladies and gentlemen

as a collective not as a matter of choice.

Let me take this opportunity to thank the ANC for affording one an
opportunity to be part of a collective bequeathed with the responsibility to
ensure the implementation of a better life for all programme for the people
of the North West Province.

I am saying this because this organisation called the ANC is celebrating its
centenary of selflessness this year.

The selflessness is expressed among others, through the death of comrades like Solomon Mahlangu, Molefi Sefularo and Chris Hani who all died during this month of April. All of them demonstrated selflessness which has afforded us an opportunity to be in the positions we are occupying today as public representatives.

In our work, we will ensure that we build on the foundation of those who
came before. The Hon Speakers, Jerry Thibedi, Monna wa Modimo OJ
Tselapedi, Thandi Modise and Dumile Maloyi and we specifically thank him
for the work he is reported to have done to build this institution.
