Afrika, ke nako! Limpopo, ke nako! Giyani, ke nako!

We are now in the home stretch towards the hosting of the biggest global sporting spectacular and Limpopo is ready to host the world! Come 11 June
2010, we will all be standing firmly behind Bafana Bafana as a unified nation.

With today’s activities, we are once again saying to the people of Limpopo that, indeed, you are an integral part of this World Cup.    It is only with your support and your enthusiasm that we can make a success of this World Cup and leave a lasting legacy for our children, long after June and July 2010.

We also need to look beyond just the financial and labour efforts in our projects aimed at 2010.  We need a united force behind our preparations and we need to look no further than a united socially cohesive province. We implore all the citizens of Limpopo to put their differences aside and take hands to come together as one. Let us take pride in all the unique aspects of this province and show respect for all people, regardless of cultural orientation.

This World Cup belongs to all South Africans.  We will not rest until every single citizen of the country and of the Province feel part and parcel of the process.    When the world comes to South Africa, they need to see a united nation that welcomes all nations and countries to our shores with open arms.

Further to this, we encourage small, meduim and micro and enterprises (SMMEs) to make themselves aware of all 2010 related projects and gear themselves towards inclusion in all of these opportunities.

We still want to see every citizen  even in the rural parts of Limpopo, showing support for Bafana Bafana by wearing the colours of the national team every Friday. We need to support our team in all earnest and carry them all the way to the top. We have seen before, how sport can unify a nation and we know that Bafana Bafana can do that for us again.

We are more than ready to host this event.  From infrastructure to accommodation, the province is saying to the world “Come and experience the uniqueness, the colourful spectacle, the diversity of our province. Come and experience the history of mankind and the very beginning of civilisation even right here in Giyani, where there are visible traces of iron smelting can still be found today.”

Citizens of Giyani and surroundings – we want you to get excited about the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Blow your vuvuzela’s, make a noise and rally behind your team.

Viva Bafana Bafana, viva!

Halala 2010 FIFA World Cup, halala!
