The Motswedi Literary Competition: Unleashing oneâs hidden potential through
the might of a pen
The Ministry for Safety and Security, the South African Police Service
(SAPS) in conjunction with the University of South Africa (UNISA): John Povey
Centre for Language Studies hereby invites the media to the launch of the SAPS
Literary Competition.
The Literary Competition aims to give people within the police an
opportunity to express their inner-selves in creative writing. Psychological
research has shown that the process of creative writing can lead a person to
self-fulfilment and a sense of greater contribution in todayâs demanding
landscape not only in work related matters, but also on a personal level.
