SANDF on troops ambushed by rebels in Sudan

South African National Defence Force (SANDF) members deployed in Sudan under
the African Union, ran into an ambush at 09h00 on 10 July 2006 in the vicinity
of Abdel Shakor. No SANDF members or civilians were injured during the
incident. The African Union (AU) is to investigate the incident.
