President Jacob Zuma arrives in Tanzania ahead of talks on peace

President Jacob Zuma has arrived in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, ahead of talks tomorrow, 22 December 2014, with President Jakaya Kikwete of the United Republic of Tanzania.

After the meeting with President Kikwete tomorrow, President Zuma will proceed to Kampala, Uganda, for talks with President Yoweri Museveni.

The consultations and discussions with the two Heads of State are a follow up to the visit to South Africa recently by President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan and are aimed at taking forward the peace process in South Sudan.

The Minister of Environmental Affairs, Ms Edna Molewa is serving as Acting President until the President returns from Uganda.
