Africa. In line with Parliament's core objective of facilitating public
participation and involvement as well as executive accountability, the
Portfolio Committee on Environmental Affairs and Tourism (National Assembly)

on barriers related to fishing allocation rights, appeals process, fronting,
fishermen working conditions, black ownership, social plan in fishing industry,
business ethics, equity and ownership, role of Accelerated and Shared Growth
Initiative for South Africa (AsgiSA) and Joint Initiative on Priority Skills
Acquisition (JIPSA), mari and aqua culture and the need for a fishing charter
for the fishing industry, skills development and employment equity.
