Ferro Chrome Smelter Project in South Africa

The Deputy President, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will on Monday, 21 August 2006
attend Tata Steel's sod-turning ceremony in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
Tata Steel is the largest and most fully integrated Chrome player in India
and the establishment of the Ferro Chrome plant in South Africa will see Tata
Steel becoming the only company to have a multi-locality base of
production.
The aim of the project is to create a viable business in South Africa that
will not only create much-needed jobs but will deliver value to customers and
stakeholders in the country.
