In the current financial year, the Department of Public Works has
constructed six additional single rooms at the Christiana Road Camp and
electrified Louwana, Bray, Eckron and Kameel Road Camps for the Department of
Transport, Roads and Community Safety.
The Department has also completed paving at the Mothibistadt Traffic Office
and renovated the Veterinary Offices of the Department of Agriculture in
Ganyesa.
In Taung, the Department has erected carports at the Taung Traffic Office
and constructed new stores for the Taung District Office. Installation of
air-conditioners in District Offices of the Department in the Region, including
renovation and painting of the Vryburg District Office are complete.
Under the school renovation projects, the Department has completed
renovation of Sietsang Primary and Tshaneng Primary Schools in Tlhakgameng and
Tshaneng villages. The construction of additional six single rooms at Reivelo
Road Camp is also progressing well.
"Public infrastructure revamp in Bophirima is on track," says MEC Yawa. He
said these projects are an indication of government's commitment to improve
working environments for improved service delivery to communities.
