The National Youth Commission (NYC) has learnt with shock and sadness, of
the untimely death of musical diva Lebo Mathosa.
Lebo Mathosa played a major role in the music industry, and was idolised by
many young people in the country. Through her music, she will be remembered as
an artist, entertainer and as part of a generation that revolutionised and
transformed our music industry today.
Her musical work shall go into the annals of history. Lebo's departure has
left a void in those of our youth that listen to her music.
On behalf of all our country's youth, the NYC sends its heartfelt
condolences to the Mathosa family. May her soul rest in peace, she will be
dearly missed!
