N Pandor to visit schools in Free State, 15 Jan

Minister of Education Naledi Pandor will visit schools in the
Free State province

The Minister of Education, Naledi Pandor will from 08h00–12h00 conduct
surprise visits to schools in the Free State province, before joining the
Minister of Transport at 12h30 in a ceremony marked to hand over the peace of
torch to the Department of Education.

During the surprise visits, Minister Pandor will be checking on the schools’
readiness for the 2009 academic year. The Minister, accompanied by her senior
departmental official will have meetings with the school management and learner
representatives.

At 12h20, Minister Pandor will join Minister Jeff Radebe in a ceremony
marked to hand over the torch of peace and the release of 2008 Arrive Alive
stats at Nkopoleng High School, Sasolburg in Free State.

Journalists interested in being part of the Minister’s entourage are
requested to assembly at Riverside Hotel, Vanderbijlpark at 07h00. The
delegation will leave exactly at 07h30 to the first school.
