Gauteng MEC for Housing, Nomvula Mokonyane, will tomorrow, Thursday, 25
October 2007, host a breakfast meeting with various business representative to
discuss and lobby them to partner with the department in the 20 Prioritised
Township Programme (PTP).
The intention of this gathering is to get the business sector within the
province to contribute towards the revival of all the neglected oldest
townships particularly with regard to local economic development.
The 20 PTP is an initiative by the Gauteng Provincial Government aimed at
upgrading 20 old townships built before 1994.
