Minister Dlamini Zuma arrives in Côte d’Ivoire ahead of the
International Working Group meeting on Côte d’Ivoire

Abidjan – South African Foreign Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma today,
Wednesday 15 February, arrived in Abidjan where she will lead the South African
government delegation, including Deputy Director-General Ambassador Duarte, to
the fourth Meeting of the International Working Group on Côte d’Ivoire
scheduled for Friday, 17 February 2006.

Minister Dlamini Zuma’s participation on the International Working Group
Meeting comes within the context of the mandate bestowed on South African
President Thabo Mbeki by the African Union and the United Nations to create the
conditions for a political resolution of the situation in Côte d’Ivoire.

The fourth session of the International Working Group is expected to
consider reports from Prime Minister Charles Konan Banny and the African Union
appointed mediation team while also assessing progress in the implementation of
the Roadmap.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is expected to return to South Africa on Saturday, 18
February 2006.
