Agriculture and Land Administration, Ms Maureen Sithole

The Provincial Government of Mpumalanga has suspended, Ms Maureen Sithole,
the HOD for Agriculture and Land Administration for a duration of 60 days with
immediate effect from 29 March 2006.
The suspension is due to allegations that are levelled against the Head of
Department. These relate to the failure to follow procurement procedures and
hence the suspension of her authority will allow the investigation into these
allegations to take its cause.
The following conditions are attached for the suspended the HOD:
1. She is prohibited from entering all the buildings of our workplace or
engaging herself in any remunerative work during her suspension. Accordingly,
she has already handed over her access cards and office keys to the Office of
the MEC.
2. She has further been advised not to interfere, contact, or liaise with
any person involved in this matter including the staff members of the
Department.
