"More arrests are imminent. We must ensure that never again will people steal from the poor and get away with it".

She said with the assistance of the Special Investigating Unit, the department will, without let or hindrance, continue to fight corruption wherever it may rear its ugly head.

In the North West alone the following housing projects have been identified for investigation: Meriting extension four and five, Freedom Park phase one and two (located in Rustenburg local municipality), Kanana extension 14, Khuma extension 11, Jouberton extension 24 Alabama extension three (all in Matlosana local municipality) and Letsopa (in Tswaing local municipality).

"Those found to have participated in acts of corruption will be dealt with mercilessly. Government will recover wasted and irregularly spent funds," she warned.
