North West MEC for Public Safety, Howard Yawa on Monday welcomed the retraction of a threat by the AWB to avenge the death of slain AWB leader, Eugene Terre’Blanche as a sensible and positive development.
MEC Yawa said that all sections of our South African society should reject the irresponsible incitement of an eye for an eye and leave the execution of justice to the courts.
Yawa issued a stern warning that any person who participates in an illegal march said to be organised by one Andries Nienaber to demand the handover of the two suspects aged 28 and 15 on Tuesday during their court appearance, would be arrested by the police.
“Our constitutional democracy enjoins all of us to defend the rule of law at all costs” said Yawa.
