The children of Mooiplaats and Olievenbosch, west of Pretoria, were delighted to see the Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Ms Lulu Xingwana, this morning. The Minister paid a surprise visit to the Mooiplaatz Early Learning Centre and Jacobs Well Ministries, which take care of children with disabilities.
The Minister gave soccer balls, toys, bags and food to all children, and assisted with painting and planting of trees.
Minister Xingwana said: “Nelson Mandela reminds us to respond to the needs and plight of those who are less fortunate. On his birthday, let us rededicate ourselves to the values and principles for which he spent his entire life. These are the principles of love, justice, compassion, selflessness and solidarity.”
