On behalf of the Western Cape Government I would like to extend my condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of former Western Cape Premier Hernus Kriel, who passed away this week.
Mr Kriel served as the first Premier of the Western Cape in democratic South Africa from 1994 to 1998.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in this difficult time.
