The Chapman’s Peak Drive and Toll Plaza have been closed until further notice, as travelling through the drive has become dangerous due to heavy rains.
Entilini, the concessionaire managing the drive on behalf of the Western Cape Government, will be monitoring the situation. The safety of motorists and other road users is currently the most important priority. The drive will be reopened once deemed safe for motorists and road users.
More road closures are expected in winter because of possible rock and mudslides.
