Western Cape Government anticipates improvements in municipal governance
Tomorrow, 22 January 2014 the Auditor-General will table the 2012/13 consolidated audit outcomes for the Western Cape’s 30 municipalities.
Western Cape Minister of Finance, Alan Winde and Minister of Local Government, Anton Bredell, anticipate an overall improvement due to the wide range of interventions that have been put in place by the province and local administrations, working together, to support better municipal governance.
These interventions were deemed a priority as better governance results in better service delivery at the coalface. The Western Cape Government will release the complete audit outcomes at 02h30pm tomorrow.
