Water disruption at hospital receives attention

The Gauteng Department of Health would like to state that the water supply shortage at Natalspruit hospital is receiving urgent attention.

The water supply shortage which affected mainly the theatres was caused by a burst pipe outside the hospital.

Hospital management immediately informed the Department of Infrastructure Development (DID)  about this problem. Officials from DID with the assistance of municipality officials are currently on site attending to the problem.

Urgent theatre cases have been diverted to neighbouring hospitals.

The hospital would like to emphasize that no major disruptions has occurred during this time and service delivery as well as patient care is not compromised.
