The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Lindiwe Sisulu regrets to announce the untimely death of two SANDF members who passed away this morning, 12 Nov 2011 in a vehicle accident on N12 approximately 12Km from Stilfontein.
The accident happened between Potchefstroom and Stilfontein whilst en-route to the SA Army Combat Training Centre at Lohatlha in the Northern Cape for Exercise NDLOVU. The names of the deceased will be released after their next of kin have been notified.
The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, the Chief of the South African National Defence Force, General Solly Shoke and the Chief of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Derrick Mgwebi have extended their sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to those members who have been hospitalised.
