Police have arrested two Chinese nationals in Tableview, Cape Town. Members of the DPCI in Cape Town received information from members of the public, about a foul smell emanating from a house in Table view.
When the police investigated they found people busy cutting elephant tusks. The tusks were apparently cut into small pieces to make jewelery. Police also found fifteen elephant tusks that were still intact. The suspects have been charged with illegal possession of ivory. They will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate Court on Thursday.
