Two male motorists aged 36 and 23 were arrested for drunken driving after being involved in a road accident on the N18 Mahikeng-Vryburg road outside Mahikeng in the North West Province on Saturday morning.
The accident occurred around 5:30am on the road passing through Magogoe-Tar Section. Passengers who were in the Nissan Lavina and Toyota Conquest sedans including the drivers were not injured.
The arrested motorists who are in police custody are expected to appear in the Mmabatho Magistrates Court on Monday to answer to charges of drunken driving, reckless and or negligent driving.
