Two passengers were seriously injured in a collision involving two vehicles on the P52/1 President road, in Mogwase near Sun City in the North West Province on Saturday morning.
It is alleged that a Proton Sedan that was following a BMW from Sun City towards Mogwase bumped into the BMW at around 03h00 am, after it came to an abrupt stop as it was about to turn to the left.
Two male passengers who were in the BMW were rushed to Moses Kotane Provincial Hospital with serious injuries. Police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving.
North West MEC for Human Settlements, Public Safety and Liaison, Ms Desbo Mohono wishes the road users injured in the collision a speedy recovery and appeals to motorists to observe safe following distance.
